What is Icecold?
IceCOLD is a combination of synthetic catalysts used to increase the efficiency of HVAC units and produce energy cost savings.
Oil fouling occurs in units over time and reduces the efficiency of the heat transfer by as much as 20-30%. With the installation
of IceCOLD, the catalyst will break down the surface tension between the oil globules and the walls of the refrigeration tubing,
thus restoring the unit to near new equipment levels and regaining lost efficiency.
How does IceCOLD work?
In virtually all air conditioning and refrigeration systems, ½ - 8% of the compressor lubricating oil circulates with the refrigerant.
This oil attaches to the inner walls of the refrigeration tubing and inhibits heat exchange. Contaminating oil films are deposited
throughout the system and it is these oil deposits that ultimately inhibit heat transfer and reduce system efficiency.

IceCOLD applied. This will extend the life of your compressor by approximately 20%.
The unit will also have less wear as friction noise and vibration will generally be reduced.
IceCOLD helps to clean and restore older units.
How is IceCOLD applied?
IceCOLD is applied in the same way as any other refrigerant oil being added to the system.
What is the life span of IceCOLD application?
IceCOLD is a one-time application for the life of the compressor. There is no problem with a
refrigerant leak. However, if the seal on the coils is compromised, a second application of IceCOLD will be required.
How long is the payback for an IceCOLD customer?
Typical system installations with an IceCOLD application yield paybacks of less than one year.
However, specific payback is contingent on heat load, initial system condition, and AC usage habits.
